ECRM [endo-cavity rotational mover] 1997
This mover unit drives an ultrasound probe used to collect images of internal organs that are translated into virtual 3D models to assist surgeons in the treatment of prostate cancer. This project produced a softer, friendlier form for what was cold and industrial looking equipment, with the goal of putting patients at ease during a procedure.
